Just Jessica being Jessica

Imma grown woman!

To Esse, guardian who thoughtfully watches over the characters she created/makes
To all the teachers, true life masters, which taught me that the own happiness is worth fighting for
I tried to believe
in God and James Dean
but Hollywood sold out
(Ghost Town – Adam Lambert)
The clock marked six o' clock, there were about 50 minutes left before closing time and then he would come back home. That day had been quite calm for a Friday of November; in fact, according to the news, a famous foreign singer was having a huge sold out concert in Milan, since he hadn't showed up for ages. He guessed the singer was much known also in the gay community; he had never worked this lightly before.
<<I wonder what is Dominik doing in this moment...>> he thought moving his eyes away from the clock and bringing them back to the glasses Federico was cleaning <<It's likely that he's playing some Bach and Mozart sitting on a stool behind the piano.>>
The image of Dominik's long and pale fingers crossed his mind and joined up his thoughts. Federico bit slightly his lips when a past Dominik stepped out the shower with only a towel covering his hips, closed eyes, teary gold hair and a hair dryer hid in one hand. God of hormones. Federico looked around: the club was half-empty and really quiet, and only the back-ground music could be heard.
<<And now I know my heart is a ghost town!>> he sang, humming with an imprecise note.
<<God dang it, Fede! You sound like a moaning elephant!>> it was Roberto, the manager of the bar, who cried with a cringe in the face and a chuckle coming out his mouth.
<<Do elephants always moan this good? Robi, it's like the 10th time we played this song. Is there any problems with the CD player? >>
<<Watch out your words, Roger. This is Adam Lambert's new album, I tell ya! In this gay bar we only hire gay people, so we only play gay songs of gay singers, got it? And above all the gay men, Adam Lambert is the gayest of them all, I mean it.>> so he wears one of the best smirks ever made.
<<Didn't you say it was Elton John, my dear?>> a girly voice which belonged to a waitress joined the conversation.
<<I could have, perhaps. Wasn't it like something between Ricky Martin and Enrique Iglesias?>>
<<But Enrique Iglesias bats for the other team, doesn't he?>>
<<Chicca, can't you see the fire burning in his eyes as hell when it comes to men? Everyone has a dark side, nobody is playing the game>>
The voice of Samuele called him when Federico was still laughing:<<Fede, can you make a drink for this girl? I'm a little busy with these two customers>>
<<Sure baby!>>
A girl with Oriental features sat on the stool in front of him and placed her black bag on the counter. She seemed to have a bad-day so he tried to look as polite as possible and smiled brightly.
<<What would you like to drink?>> he said after the polite greeting.
She hesitated a moment and looked around. She said unsure:<<Any kind of prosecco will do>>
Federico nodded and started to pour the prosecco, the one most chosen by the customers. A yellow fluid started to fill the emptiness of the glass, a pop sound resounded through the glass. The girl sighed and took her hands to the nape. She looked really young and tired.
<<She'll be 18 or 19 years old>> Federico thought, trying to guess the age of the young girl. The girl began to torment her hands. Small, short fingers and long, strong nails were fighting a losing battle. He did so when he felt nervous.
<<Bad day?>> Federico asked. She looked up and tried to glare him but she bursted into laughter.
<<Hahaha!!>> She looked much different when she laughed. A moment before she looked as if she was going to punch him and now she acted she was his lifelong friend. Really a strange person.
<<Sorry. It's that my parents are the most boring people in this world and my sister is more obedient than a dog. I can't do anything when I'm with them.>>
Federico laughed because she reminded him of when he was a teenager. He gave her the drink and waited for her to drink it. He was sure she had never drunk, it was her first time for sure.
The girl drank up and immediately coughed.  Crap.
<<Hey...! Take it easy, young lady!>>
She was a curious and terribly funny character. He enjoyed looking at her. She had thin lips that were chapped and small, almond-shaped, eyes. Her hair was black and straight, her face shape was round. Her eyes, he noticed, were reddened as if she cried. Really a curious character.
<<Anyway...I'm Jessica.>> she smiled. Le mani si ricongiungono. Hands join together.
<<Nice to meet you. I'm Federico.>>
